Please take notice that TETER, Inc. (the Company) collects certain personal information about you. We are collecting the following sensitive personal information:

- Professional or employment-related information, such as background checks;
- Inferences drawn from any of the sensitive personal information listed above to create a profile or summary about an individual’s preferences and characteristics.
Other information we are collecting includes:
- Identifiers, such as name;
- Personal information, such as real name, address, telephone number, education, employment, and employment history;
- Professional or employment-related information, such as work history, prior employers, professional licenses, and degrees;
- Non-public education information; and
- Inferences drawn from any of the personal personal information listed above to create a profile or summary about an individual’s preferences and characteristics.
Where we get your information from.
The Company collects information about you from the following sources:
- You;
- Prior employers, references, recruiters and job-related social media platforms; and
- Third-party companies, such as background check companies, licensing and credentialing organizations.
Depending on the Company’s interactions with you, we may or may not collect all of the information identified about you.
How your personal and sensitive personal information is used.
We may use personal and sensitive personal information for the following purposes:
- Recruiting employees.
- Collecting and processing employment applications, including confirming eligibility for employment, background and related checks, and onboarding.
- Using automated decision-making technology to assist in evaluating applicant qualifications, where applicable.
- Maintaining personnel records and complying with record retention requirements.
- Complying with applicable state and federal laws, including labor, employment, tax, benefits, workers compensation, disability, equal employment opportunity, workplace safety and related laws.
- Exercising and defending legal claims.
We may or may not have used personal and sensitive personal information about you for each of the above purposes.
Selling or sharing of personal information.
For purposes of the CCPA/CPRA, the Company does not sell or share the personal information or sensitive personal information of job applicants.
Data retention.
The Company retains the information it receives about you for a period of four (4) years if not hired or until seven (7) years after termination if hired, unless a shorter or longer period is required by California or federal law.

This Applicant Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how TETER, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects personal information of job applicants who are California residents, in accordance with the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended.
This Policy applies to individuals who apply for employment with the Company and should be read together with the Company’s Notice at Collection for Applicants, which is provided at or before the time personal information is collected.
Categories of Personal Information We Collect
We collect personal information and sensitive personal information related to applicants for recruitment and hiring purposes. The categories of personal information we have collected in the preceding 12 months include:
Personal Information
- Identifiers, such as name, postal address, email address, telephone number, and other similar identifiers;
- Personal information described in California Civil Code section 1798.80, such as education history, employment history, references, and information contained in resumes, applications, and interview materials;
- Characteristics of protected classifications under California or federal law, such as age, gender, sex, race, color, disability, citizenship, primary language, immigration status, military or veteran status, and other information voluntarily provided or required by law;
- Professional or employment-related information, including work history, qualifications, licenses, certifications, and job preferences;
- Education information that is not publicly available personally identifiable information; and
- Inferences drawn from the above information to evaluate qualifications, suitability, and interest in employment.
Sensitive Personal Information
- Social Security number, driver’s license number, state identification card number, or passport number (where required for background checks or employment eligibility);
- Information revealing racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, or union membership (where required or voluntarily disclosed);
- Health or medical information related to accommodation requests; and
- Other information defined as “sensitive personal information” under the CPRA.
Sources of Personal Information
We collect applicant personal information from the following categories of sources:
- You, directly;
- Recruiters, staffing agencies, and job-related platforms;
- Prior employers and references;
- Background check providers and credentialing organizations;
- Government agencies; and
- Legal counsel and investigators, as necessary.
Business Purposes for Collecting and Using Personal Information
We collect and use applicant personal information for the following business and operational purposes:
- Recruiting, evaluating, and selecting candidates for employment;
- Verifying qualifications, references, and employment history;
- Evaluating applicant qualifications using automated tools or technology, where applicable, subject to applicable notice and opt-out requirements under California law;
- Conducting background checks and employment eligibility verification, where permitted by law;
- Communicating with applicants regarding the application process;
- Complying with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations;
- Maintaining records related to hiring decisions and equal employment opportunity obligations;
- Exercising and defending legal claims.
Disclosure of Personal Information
Disclosure for Business Purposes
We may disclose applicant personal information to the following categories of third parties for legitimate business purposes. The categories of personal information disclosed vary by provider and are limited to what is reasonably necessary to perform contracted services.
- Recruiters and staffing agencies – Personal information necessary to identify, evaluate, and communicate with candidates, including identifiers, contact information, resumes, employment history, education, qualifications, and interview-related information.
- Background check providers – Personal information necessary to conduct background checks and employment eligibility verification, including identifiers, employment history, education history, and authorization information, as permitted by law.
- IT and applicant tracking system (ATS) providers – Personal information necessary to support recruiting technology, application processing, data hosting, and system security, including identifiers, contact information, resumes, application materials, and system usage information.
- Government agencies – Personal information required to comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and reporting obligations, including employment eligibility, equal employment opportunity, and regulatory requirements.
- Legal counsel, claim administrators, and investigators – Personal information necessary to obtain legal advice, respond to claims, conduct investigations, and exercise or defend legal rights.
These disclosures are made pursuant to written agreements where required by law.
Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
The Company does not sell or share the personal information or sensitive personal information of applicants, as those terms are defined under the CPRA.
Data Retention
The Company retains applicant personal information for four (4) years from the date of the hiring decision. If an applicant is hired, their information becomes part of the employee personnel file and is retained in accordance with the Company’s Employee Privacy Policy.
Your Rights Under the CPRA
As a California applicant, you have the right to:
- Request access to personal information collected about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Request deletion of certain personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Know what personal information is collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared;
- Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, as permitted by law;
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information;
- Not be retaliated or discriminated against for exercising your CPRA rights.
Certain rights may be subject to limitations or exceptions under applicable law.

The Company will respond within the timeframes required by law.
No Retaliation
The Company will not discriminate or retaliate against any applicant for exercising rights under the CPRA.
Policy Updates
This Policy may be updated from time to time and will be reviewed at least once every 12 months. The “Last Updated” date reflects the most recent revision.
